“Brighton Beach Memoirs,” the first in a three-play series by Neil Simon, opened last night at St. Joseph of Arimathea Church in Yucca Valley. After opening night, the show will run 7 p.m. Saturdays on October 11 and 18, and November 1. Matinee performances at 2:00 p.m. will be on Saturday, October 25, and Sundays on October 19 and 26, and November 2. The show’s cast includes its director, Rebecca Havely as Kate, Leonard Weber as Jack, Vincent Thomas as Stanley, Desert Theatre League award winner Trevor Carpenter as Eugene, Shelly Sheckler as Blanche, Elizabeth Schmelling as Nora, and Madison Tuttle as Laurie.
Tickets are $11 for adults, $9 for seniors, military and students, and are available in advance at Align the Spine Chiropractic in Yucca Valley, from a cast member, from members of St. Joseph’s Church, or at the door (cash only, please).
