Black Rock Art Gallery Opening “static equilibrium” exhibition October 7

A new art exhibition by 2017 Joshua Tree National Park Artist-In-Residence Koichi Yamamoto debuts at the Black Rock Art Gallery beginning October 7.

Entitled “static equilibrium”, Yamamoto creates a series of intaglio prints on Japanese kozo paper formed into kites that explore the dynamism and power of the wind. The exhibition will run from October 7 until January 1, at the Black Rock Art Gallery in the Black Rock Nature Center, located at 9800 Black Rock Canyon Rd, Yucca Valley.

There will be an opening reception on Friday October 7 from 5pm to 7pm.

The building is open 7 days a week, 8am – 4pm.
