Bighorn Desert View Water Agency meets today (1/13)

The Bighorn Desert View Water Agency will hold their regular meeting today, Tuesday January 13, 2026, at 6:00p.m.

Before the pledge of allegiance, a moment of silence will be held for Director John R. Burkhart.

The meeting will begin with a closed session so the public employee appointments for the general manager and chief engineer positions can be discussed. This will be followed by a conference with labor negotiators regarding both positions.

The Board of Directors will select a Director to be appointed President by a majority roll call vote. A Vice President will be selected in the same manner. A Secretary will also be appointed by majority roll call vote.

The Board will be requested to dissolve the Morongo Basin Pipeline Commission as the pipeline debt service has been concluded.

Several items on the consent calendar will be acted upon in one motion, unless a member of the public or the Board objects and calls for discussion on a specific item.

Located at 1720 North Cherokee Trail in Landers, the meeting is today and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
