In addition to setting the appropriation limit for fiscal 2022/2023 tonight, the board is expected to convene two public hearings, these being the final step in the agency’s attempt to collect on seriously delinquent accounts. Following tonight’s hearings and vote, the properties associated with the overdue accounts are expected to have property liens placed on the secured county tax rolls.
The public is invited to attend in person at the agency’s board meeting office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers. Remote participation is also an option.
