The Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency, which serves Landers and Flamingo Heights, holds its regular board meeting at 6 p.m. today (September 14). Reporter Mike Lipsitz has the highlights…
Tonight, directors are expected to give the go-ahead to prepare a construction funding application for the physical consolidation of the Bighorn-Desert View water system with that of Goat Mountain. The project is essentially “shovel ready” thanks to a $500,000 Planning Grant awarded the agency in 2017. The public is invited to join the board in person at the agency’s office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers, or participate remotely via the Zoom platform.
