For water users in Landers and Flamingo Heights, the Bighorn-Desert View Water Agency’s Board of Directors meets at 6 p.m. tonight (April 11, 2023) to talk about pay raises and succession planning, and to receive some special honors.
Based on the Social Security Administration’s cost of living adjustment, directors are expected to approve an 8.7 percent pay raise for the agency’s non-exempt employees and the general manager. Also tonight, the board will consider adding an assistant general manager position as part of the agency’s general manager succession plan. Prior to those topics, the California Special Districts Association will honor the water agency with the prestigious Transparency Certificate of Excellence award and District of Distinction Accreditation.
Tonight’s meeting is at the agency’s board meeting office under the old water tower on Cherokee Trail in Landers. Remote participation is also an option.
