Big Morongo Canyon Preserve hosts bi-monthly guided nature walks starting this Saturday

The Big Morongo Canyon Preserve will be hosting bi-monthly guided nature walks on the first and third Saturday of the month, beginning this Saturday, March 21.

Join the staff at Big Morongo Canyon Preserve this Saturday to re-discover their special preserve that contains three distinct natural environments, native plant and animal life, and the unique roll between its geology and water. Their knowledgeable expert guides will help you use your powers of observation to question and make sense of the natural world that unfolds around you.

Big Morongo Canyon is also one of the country’s largest bird sanctuaries and migration hot spots, with more than 247 bird species and at least 72 that breed in the Preserve. So bring binoculars, along with good walking shoes and water. This is a family event, so all ages are welcome. Meet at the kiosk at 9:30 a.m. this Saturday at Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, located at 11055 East Drive in Morongo Valley.
