One suspect was arrested on suspicion of starting a two acre brush fire that burned in Morongo Valley yesterday (December 7). The Morongo Valley Fire Department received a call reporting smoke near Twentynine Palms Highway and Lanning Road at around 3:30 p.m., and when fire crews arrived, they found a slowly spreading brush fire with a significant potential for growth. A traffic stop in Twentynine Palms led to three arrests, including a convicted felon alleged to be in possession of drugs and ammunition and two people with active felony warrants. Highway 62 collision in Desert Hot Springs, killing Twentynine Palms man

A vehicle collision on Highway 62 at the bottom of the Morongo grade left a Twentynine Palms man dead. On Wednesday (December 4) at around 11:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle collision at 11:30 a.m. on State Route 62 near North Indian Canyon Drive in Desert Hot Springs. Yucca Valley man arrested for investigation into attempted murder, child abuse, and kidnapping

On Tuesday, November 26, at around 3:30 p.m. Gabriel Baker, 22, was contacted by San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies in the Stater Bros east plaza on Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley. Baker was arrested on suspicion of numerous felony charges, including attempted murder, child abuse, domestic violence, false imprisonment, and driving with a suspended license.
