Felon on active Riverside County warrant arrested in Twentynine Palms with suspected drugs and ammo

On Wednesday (October 9), County Sheriff’s deputies with the Morongo Basin Station conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Twentynine Palms Highway near Clare Ave in Twentynine Palms. Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Coy Tinker, 29, a felon convicted of robbery and car theft. Deputies say that Tinker was in possession of ammunition and suspected methamphetamine. A man alleged to have stolen mail in Twentynine Palms with a 16 year-old behind the wheel of a a getaway car is facing charges of child abuse. According to the San Bernardino Registrar of Voters, mail ballots for the November 5th General Election were delivered to the United States Postal Service on October 7.
