Two Yucca Valley pedestrian improvement projects move forward

On Monday the 16th the Onaga Trail Pedestrian Improvement Project kicked off. The Town of Yucca Valley has committed to upgrading the stretch of road for pedestrian safety purposes while complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and will include the creation sidewalks with ramps and gutters. The Twentynine Palms Rotary club continued a yearly tradition of giving with a donation of 450 children’s books to elementary schools in Twentynine Palms. The books, which were all individually wrapped by the High School softball teams - were delivered to Twentynine Palms Elementary School by Rotarians and - of course - Santa Claus, who were all greeted by Mrs. Mohn’s Kindergarten class. Mojave Desert Land Trust adds nearly 1k acres of protected Death Valley, Mojave Trails and Preserve land

The Mojave Desert Land Trust has announced two new land acquisitions.The first is 232 acres in the southwestern corner of Death Valley National Park in the Crystal Hills - a low mountain range area known for a 120 mile long monorail that operated in the 1920’s to carry epsomite from mines. ‘Jingle Paws’ shelter animal food and supplies drive at Palms-N-Paws in 29 Palms

Palms-N-Paws, the official animal shelter of the City of Twentynine Palms, is hosting their annual “Jingle Paws” food drive for animals for the holidays. The food drive started on December 6th and will be running all the way to Jan 3rd in 2023.
