Some folks in the Morongo Basin reported that the over-the-air signal that usually serves the hi desert with television channels had grown intermittent lately - and a few days ago it gave out completely. The City of Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department is looking for people interested in becoming a lifeguard at the Luckie Park Pool this summer. All persons interested must be 15 years or older and able to pass a swim test consisting of a 300-yard swim, treading water, and a brick drive. Operation Dust Devil has officially wrapped up, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.
