Voters overwhelmingly approved Measure K, Yucca Valley’s Transient Occupancy Tax Rate increase from 7% to 12%, during the November 2022 election. The additional tax will apply to all lodging stays––short-term vacation rentals, hotels, and motels and will go into effect on January 1, 2023. Essig Park, the public park in Yucca Valley located near Black Rock is on the mind of the Town’s Staff, who is requesting input from residents on what would improve the park.
