Grubstake Days will wrap up on Memorial Day with events just for the little cowboys and cowgirls. On Monday from 11pm to 2pm, you can high-tail it to the Boys and Girls Club of the Hi-Desert for your children to enjoy water games, team games, jump houses and prizes. After awarding participation and recognition awards, tonight's City Council discussed recommending a new process for the selection of a mayor and a mayor pro tem. One public comment asked if the mayor could be elected by the people, which was found by the Council to be less expedient than approving a rotation cycle, beginning with District #1, to take effect next year.
