“Atomic Dayz and Desert Nights” this Sunday at the Morongo Basin Historical Museum

The Morongo Basin Historical Museum is hosting “Atomic Dayz and Desert Nights,” a celebration of music, exhibits, and neon lights on Sunday (December 7).

The Morongo Basin Historical Museum is going full midcentury modern, and you won’t be mad, man! They’ve got a full day of programming, starting with a member drive and report from the board of directors at 3:15 p.m.

At 4:00 p.m., The Kearns Family Band will perform a live set, followed by special guest Billy Mitchell.

Once the sun sets, the museum will be illuminated by neon light, and new and old exhibits celebrating the hi-deserts most iconic eras will shimmer differently under the electric glow. Cocktails will be available, and classic outfits are encouraged. Doors open at 3:00 p.m., and the event runs until 7:00 p.m.

The Morongo Basin Historical Museum is located at 632 Landers Lane in Landers.
