“Archive and Artifacts of Paula P-Orridge” tonight in Yucca Valley

Fatty’s Barber Shop in Yucca Valley will be hosting a rare exhibit tonight, displaying the archives of Alaura Odell, better known as Paula P-Orridge, wife and collaborator of Psychic TV’s Genesis P-Orridge.

Znz presents “Live in Yucca Valley: The Archive and Artifacts of Paula P-Orridge,” displaying books, records, art, letters, photos, X-Mas cards and much more from Paula’s time with Genesis P-Orridge and Psychic TV, the highly influential English video art and psychedelic music group from the 1980s. After marrying Genesis and rechristened Paula P-Orridge, Odell joined Psychic TV in 1983, where she played drums and created sound collages for the group, as well as tour managed and acted as the group’s record company liaison.

Sponsored by the online vintage zine store Znz, the show’s opening will run tonight from 6-10pm and will be up through September 16th at Fatty’s Barber Shop, located at 56020 Santa Fe Trail, #B in Yucca Valley.
