The California Restaurant Foundation is launching its fourth Restaurants Care Resilience Fund, which will now include commercial caterers among eligible applicants.
Starting today, June 15 and going until June 30,California-based restaurant owners and commercial caterers with fewer than five locations and under $3 million in annual revenue can apply for $5,000 grants through the California restaurant foundation’s restaurants care resilience fund. The grants can be used to cover the cost of essential business needs like energy efficient equipment upgrades, technology improvements like POS systems, and employee training programs.
The Resilience Fund has awarded nearly $6 million since its inception, aiming to ensure the long-term sustainability of California’s independent food service industry. To support a broader range of food businesses, commercial caterers have been added to the list of eligible applicants.
The foundation partners with major California energy companies and welcomes additional support from corporations, foundations, and individuals to continue investing in the state’s vibrant dining community. In December, 182 California eateries received grants, including Cheesewalla and La Volata Pizzeria in Redlands and Rebel’s Burgers in Yucaipa. These businesses were able to use the funds to improve their operations and continue serving their communities.
Priority will be given to applicants who have yet to receive previous grants, recognizing the importance of reaching out to new businesses.
