8th Annual Air Rifle Shooting Competition coming Oct. 1st

Are you a Veteran or family member of a Veteran who’d like to test the accuracy of your eyes, breathing, pulse, and heart?

The Morongo Basin Chapter of Disabled American Veterans will be holding their 8th Air Rifle Shooting Competition at the Marine Corps Base in 29 Palms this Saturday, October 1st from 7:30am to 2pm.

This is a family-oriented event, anyone younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers and staff active-duty members are encouraged to compete, DAV membership not required.

To gain access on base, you must bring two photo ID cards preferably a driver’s license or State ID card, and if driving, you must have vehicle’s current registration and proof of insurance.

Weapons and personal ammunition prohibited. For your comfort, shaded bleachers will be provided or bring your own camping style chair.

Donations acceptable and will be collected before the competition, or you can donate by mail.

Your donation will help defray the cost of air rifle supplies, prizes, lunch and drinks. Any excess will be used for local veteran services.
