29 Palms seeking lifeguards for Summer swimming at Luckie Park

The City of Twentynine Palms Parks & Recreation Department is looking for people interested in becoming a lifeguard at the Luckie Park Pool this summer. All persons interested must be 15 years or older and able to pass a swim test consisting of a 300-yard swim, treading water, and a brick drive. 

This test will take place on Wednesday, April 19 at 6:00 p.m. at the Luckie Park Pool.

Those individuals who pass the swim test will then be able to register for the 4-day course on April 21, 22, 28, and 29 at the Luckie Park Pool. Friday classes will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday classes will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration fees are $175 for new students and $100 for those who need recertification.

Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will earn a 2-year American Red Cross Lifeguard certification and will interview to fill summer lifeguard positions at the Luckie Park Pool.
