29 Palms Planning Commission to consider pulling two VHR Permits at Tuesday meeting

The Tuesday agenda for the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will include public hearings to consider the possible revocation of two Vacation Home Rentals (VHR) permits, both on Manana Drive.

The commission will hold public hearings to consider the fate of one rental site at 72493 Manana Drive, east of Mesquite Springs Road, and another at 73397 Manana Drive, west of Oasis Avenue.

County code enforcement received complaints that the properties were listed on Hipcamp, a resource for outdoor stays, primarily tents and trailers. The locations at 72943 Manana Drive, the owner has violated city ordinance by keeping a trailer on the property.

The property at 73397 Manana Drive features a bus as a VHR option, which is also a violation of city ordinance.

The agenda will also include a Public Hearing in review of a Development Code Amendment regarding Development Impact Fees for improvements city-wide.

The 5:00 p.m. meeting takes place on Tuesday, March 21, at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road, and can be livestreamed or viewed on-demand via the city’s website, 29palms.org
