29 PALMS PLANNING COMMISSION HOSTS PUBLIC HEARING IN CONSIDERING 95-ROOM HOTEL

On Tuesday evening, the Twentynine Palms Planning Commission will host a public hearing to gather input on a proposed 95-room hotel adjacent to Project Phoenix. Up for discussion is the addendum to the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration the project, as well as the Conditional Use Permit, Site Plan and Design Review for the three-story hotel development.

The proposed occupant would be Home 2 Suites, part of the Hilton chain. Property amenities would include a small market, a serving/dining area, an exercise room, outdoor pool, guest laundry, and business center. A fountain and patio would utilize the triangular space at Freedom Way and the Paseo de Mara across from the stage.

The meeting takes place on Tuesday, August 2, and begins at 5:00 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road, and can be livestreamed or viewed on-demand via the city’s website www.29palms.org
