A Twentynine Palms man was taken into custody Friday (July 15), accused of sexually abusing two children over the past 8 years.
According to the Sheriff’s Department, 15, 2022, Deputies Stumbo and Bakker responded to a residence in Twentynine Palms after a report of a sexual assault to a minor . The Deputies contacted a 14 year old who said Rick Lewis, 33, had been sexually assaulting children there since they were six years old.
The victim made statements which indicated a violation of Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Minor Child 14 or 15 years and Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child. After additional investigation, Rick Lewis was arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail for two felony charges realted to child sexual abuse. Lewis was booked into West Valley Detention Center on $350,000 bail.
