The Basin Wide Foundation held its 24th Annual Awards Celebration on Thursday night (October 20) in which the charitable organization recognized the contributions of high desert residents to the community.
Morongo Basin Healthcare District won “Business of the Year,” and Morongo Basin ARCH was awarded “Non Profit of the Year.
Chelsi Chastain, Marie Bobin, Art Guttierrez and Nala Destiny Voss were each recognized for their exemplary contributions to the community and culture of the Morongo Basin, and the lifetime achievement award was presented to Jim Ventura for his work on the Mojave Water Agency Board of Directors.
The event was emceed by Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent David Smith.
