SOUND AND VIDEO OPEN STUDIO EVENT SUNDAY AT BOXOPROJECTS

Dylan Mc Laughlin explores forms of witness and implication around threatened ecologies through experimental music and portraits of place. McLaughlin will present a sound and video performance at BoxoProjects this Sunday.

“Joshua Tree Felt Topography,” McLaughlin’s site-specific, visual, and acoustic experiments examine deep-time stillness and displacement concepts, meditating on place, harmony, and disharmony. What emerges in McLaughlin’s work is a portrait of fragility, vulnerability, resistance, adaptation, and transformation to engage the poetics and politics of environmental activism and policy. Mc Laughlin will present his current experiments from his artist residency Sunday, May 29, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at BoxoProjects. BoxoProjects is located at 62732 Sullivan Road, Joshua Tree.
