Z107.7 SAYS GOOD-BYE TO PAT MICHAELS

Monday, January 20, is the last day for Z107.7’s long-time, on-air personality Pat Michaels. As we say good-bye, managing editor Tami Roleff has a final interview…

“I’ve been with the radio station for about, most of my life, actually, all of it.”

Long-time on-air personality Pat Michaels started at Z107.7 when he was 18 years old, and has worked every shift, from afternoon drive, nights, and now the Morning Show with Gary Daigneault. During his 20-plus years in radio, he’s gone to Los Angeles, Flagstaff, and the Coachella Valley, but he’s always come back to Z107.7, this last time for seven years. But now he says it’s time for a new chapter.

“My wife and I both have jobs where we can pretty much go anywhere and do our jobs online. We have two grandchildren now. We want to spend more leisure time, more travel time, more fishing, boating. Time is very precious. More time to enjoy life. It’s not about the money and things; it’s about time.”

While Pat Michaels is looking forward to the future, he will miss his friends in the Morongo Basin.

“I’ve enjoyed every single moment. My co-workers are like family to me; it’s not work. It’s like a reunion.”

And we have all enjoyed listening to Pat and will miss him greatly.

“Don’t be sad! It’s just another chapter in the book of Pat Michaels.”

Good luck in writing the next chapter in the book of Pat Michaels.
