YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ARRESTED FOR KICKING A SHERIFF’S DEPUTY IN THE LEG

A Yucca Valley woman who called police to report that another woman wanted to beat her up, ended up being arrested herself. According to a Sheriff’s report, Sharon Haney, 52, called the police at 12:43 p.m. to report that a woman wanted to beat her up. Deputies report that Haney was very agitated and combative when they arrived at a home in the 6900 block of Apache Trail. Haney began to yell at a man at the scene, and then assaulted him in front of the deputy. The deputy placed Haney under arrest for assault, at which time she kicked the deputy in the leg. Sharon Haney was then arrested for investigation of resisting a police officer with bodily injury and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail. She was released about 5 hours later.
