YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ACCUSED OF GRAND THEFT AUTO

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Wednesday, accused of stealing a vehicle in Arizona and driving it to Yucca Valley. A deputy saw a vehicle near Bannock Trail and Santa Fe Trail just before midnight with its driver and rear passenger doors open. A records check found that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Arizona. Deputies searched the area and found a group of people, including Kristina Rittmiller, 45. Rittmiller had the keys to the vehicle and allegedly admitted that she had taken the vehicle that morning and drove it to California. Kristina Rittmiller was arrested on suspicion of grand theft auto and for multiple warrants, booked into West Valley Detention Center, with her bail set at $1,050,000.
