YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL PONDERS PARKS, BUDGETS, AND A RAISE TONIGHT

Among the items on tonight’s consent agenda, the Yucca Valley Town Council will be asked to create two new commercial annexation districts for O’Reilly Auto Parts and Mohawk Car Wash, and approve the closure of the Hi-Desert Nature Museum in January so the museum can be reorganized. In the action agenda, the council will be asked to amend the budget for 2016-17. The Council will also be asked to approve a contract to update the town’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The council will also be asked to amend the budget to authorize repairs and maintenance. And finally, the council will introduce the ordinance that raises council members’ compensation to $557 per month beginning January 2019.
