Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Joling had good news for Yucca Valley residents at last night’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council. While Yucca Valley had one homicide this quarter, compared to 0 last year, other violent crimes, such as rape, robbery, arson, and assaults are down, some by as much as 66 percent. Joling also dismissed fears about evil clowns in the Morongo Basin. “There have not been any incidents in the entire Morongo Basin, no assault, no one dressed up as a clown.”
