YUCCA VALLEY ROTARY NAMES NEW OFFICERS

The Rotary Club of Yucca Valley recently installed its new officers. Bob Stadum was named president; Patti Brown, president-elect; Cynthia Kraemer, treasurer and public relations; Karen Martin, secretary; Tom Huls, membership; James Allenback, services; and John Babrowski, administration. Outgoing president Jill Akalski was recognized with a roast. Rotary Club of Yucca Valley raised more than $55,000 last year, and donated or spent it all on local and regional service projects. Some of the projects the Rotary Club supported or sponsored included the Yucca Valley Fourth of July fireworks show, Oktoberfest, Lobsterfest, the Festival of Lights parade, scholarships and the Miss Yucca Valley pageant, literacy drive, food drive, various camps for students, and donations to various non-profit organizations.
