The Yucca Valley Planning Commission will be asked to receive and file the general plan annual housing element progress report for 2017 at its meeting tonight. Also on the agenda, the commission will hold a public hearing on regulations for accessory structures: how many guest houses should be allowed on the property; where can they be placed on the property in relation to the main house; what regulations should govern cargo containers; and what architectural standards should be placed on accessory structures? Next, the commission will be asked to approve the architectural compatibility for an accessory structure at 7390 Valley Vista. The commission will also be discuss a definition of a residential dwelling unit for short term vacation rentals. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
