YUCCA VALLEY MEN ACCUSED OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Yucca Valley man was arrested early Saturday morning, accused of hitting his common-law wife. According to a Sheriff’s report, Donovan Archer, 38, was arguing with the woman just after midnight in their home in the 7300 block of Hermosa Avenue. The report states he threw a chair at her, and then took her purse and hit her with it, bruising her. After an investigation, Donovan Archer was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.

Another Yucca Valley man was arrested Monday, accused of choking a woman. According to a Sheriff’s report, Ricardo Cervantes, 35, was arguing with a woman in the 7400 block of Chula Vista Avenue about 12:45 p.m. when the argument turned physical. The woman told deputies that Cervantes grabbed her by the throat and pushed her up against the front door, and she showed the deputy the bruises on her neck. After an investigation, Ricardo Cervantes was arrested on suspicion of felony spouse abuse, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.
