YUCCA VALLEY MAN, OUT ON BAIL FOR ASSAULT, THREATENS TO KILL HIS VICTIM

A Yucca Valley man who was out on bail for assault against another man, was arrested again Tuesday, accused of threatening to kill the man. Deputies say the victim told them he had a restraining order against Christian Waterman, 27, who showed up at his house in the 7300 block of Fox Trail in Yucca Valley about 11 p.m. The victim and a witness said that Waterman pointed a silver handgun at the victim and said, “I will end you” before fleeing on foot. Deputies located Waterman at his residence, who denied the entire incident. However, the victim and witness had taken photos that they said showed Waterman at their home at the time of the assault. Christian Waterman was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats and violating the terms of his bail, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $100,000. On September 3, the victim said that he and Waterman were arguing when Waterman hit him in the arm with a metal pipe and broke his car’s window. Waterman was released on $50,000 bail the next day; no court appearance has been scheduled for that assault.
