YUCCA VALLEY MAN CAUGHT SHOPLIFTING HAD NEARLY $200,000 IN ARREST WARRANTS

A Yucca Valley man was arrested on nearly $200,000 in warrants after he was caught shoplifting. About 4 p.m., deputies were called to Walmart when a store employee observed the man, later identified as Jarod Davis, 30, put grocery and electronic items inside a backpack and reusable shopping bags and then try to leave the store. The report states when the deputy confronted Davis, he admitted he went to the store to steal items. A search of Davis’s bags found drug paraphernalia. During a records check, the deputy determined that Davis had $125,000 in arrest warrants for petty theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, and a $60,000 warrant from Los Angeles County for driving under the influence. Jarod Davis was arrested on suspicion of petty theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, and for his warrants, and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail.
