YUCCA VALLEY PAROLEE HELD AFTER THEFT OF PHONE AT KNIFE POINT

A Yucca Valley man was arrested, accused of robbing another man of his cell phone and threatening to kill him with a knife. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 57700 block of Vaduz Avenue in Yucca Valley about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. The victim said that his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend, identified as Dennis Williams, 33, held a knife to his throat and threatened to kill him if the victim continued talking to his ex-girlfriend. Williams then punched the man in the face, which caused the victim to drop his cell phone. Williams then picked up the phone and left the location. Deputies went to the ex-girlfriend’s home in the 58800 block of Campero Drive in Yucca Valley where they located Williams. Williams admitted to deputies that he went to the victim’s home and took the cell phone. Deputies searched Williams car and found both the phone and the knife. Williams was on post-release community supervision; State Parole was contacted and a no-bail warrant was issued for his arrest. Dennis Williams was arrested for investigation of robbery and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail.
