A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday night, accused of punching his girlfriend in the face. According to a Sheriff’s report, Marcelo Mora, 36, got into an argument with his girlfriend of 13 years over family issues. The girlfriend told deputies Mora punched her in the face with a closed fist, and deputies noted swelling and redness to the left side of her forehead. Marcelo Mora was arrested for investigation of domestic battery and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. He was released Monday night on $25,000 bail.
