YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF STEALING DONATION BOX FROM RESTAURANT

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly stole a donation box from a restaurant. According to a Sheriff’s report, Michael Hall, 41, went in to the Panda Express restaurant in the 58400 block of 29 Palms Highway in Yucca Valley about 1:30 p.m. On the counter was a box for fundraiser donations for a child. The employee told deputies that Hall cut off the cord that was attached to the box and left with the box and money. Deputies located Michael Hall nearby and he was arrested for investigation of petty theft and for violating the terms of his post-release community supervision. Hall was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail and is being held without bail.
