A 20-year-old Yucca Valley man was arrested Friday, accused of stabbing his stepfather. According to a Sheriff’s report, about 10:30 a.m., the mother of John Zielonka went to her home in the 11100 block of Morongo Way in Morongo Valley to finish moving her belongings out of a home she shared with Zielonka. The report states Zielonka became upset when he saw his mother’s husband outside; Zielonka allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and cut his stepfather several times, and punched him as well. John Zielonka was arrested for investigation of assault with a deadly weapon, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with his bail set at $50,000.
