YUCCA VALLEY MAN ACCUSED OF MAKING DEATH THREATS, BRANDISHING A GUN

A Yucca Valley man was arrested last week, accused of threatening to kill another man. According to the Sheriff’s Department, Andre Brown, 33, approached a passenger in a vehicle outside the victim’s home in the 7800 block of Valley Vista Avenue in Yucca Valley just before 1 a.m. Saturday morning. The victim told deputies that Brown punched him in the face through an open car window and then pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at his head and said he was going to kill him. The victim quickly left and called deputies. Members of the Specialized Enforcement Division responded to the scene to assist deputies with serving a warrant on Brown. Brown was arrested without incident at his home in the 7400 block of Elk Trail about 11:45 a.m. that morning. During a search of Brown’s home, deputies located stolen firearms and narcotics. Andre Brown was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats, and brandishing a firearm. He was booked into Morongo Basin Jail and is being held on $50,000 bail.
