YUCCA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL REMAINS UNDEFEATED WITH 48-6 WIN OVER PALO VERDE

Varsity Trojan Football beat Palo Verde High School 48-6 to also continue their win streak to 5-0. Coach Andrew Amosa said the offense had 336 yards on the ground for five touchdowns and 196 receiving yards for a total of 532 yards of offense for the Trojans. Lucas Lopez had a total of 144 yards on the ground and four touchdowns. Elijah Lynch added an additional 121 yards rushing and 196 yards passing. A total of 10 Trojans contributed in receiving and rushing to aid the winning effort. The Trojan defense once again had a stellar night, holding the Yellow Jackets to only six points. Albert Montes-Reyes, Steve Rosales, Joe Jennings, Chris Worrell, and Jordan Stizza each had five tackles for the night. Jordan Stizza lead the team with two quarterback sack and Albert Montes-Reyes had two interceptions, one for a touchdown. The stars of the game were both the offensive line and defensive line, as they dominated the line of scrimmage.
The Trojans will have a bye this week and will be preparing for league play to begin on October 6 with a Homecoming game against Desert Mirage.

Junior Varsity Football beat Palo Verde High School 28-14 to continue their win streak to 5-0. It was a great team effort on both sides of the ball.
