YUCCA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL DRUM LINE ADVANCES TO SEMI-FINAL COMPETITION

The Yucca Valley High School drum line will be competing in the semi-final competition in Riverside Saturday, April 23. The Trojan drum line is ranked third out of 36 drum line bands in the Scholastic B division, which includes teams from Fontana, Glendale, Pasadena, Riverside, San Diego, and the Coachella Valley. On March 19, the Trojans were narrowly edged out of first place in a San Diego competition, losing to Glendale High School by less than half a point. On April 2 in Fontana, the Yucca Valley High School drum line beat nine other teams in its division for first place, and a week later, the Trojans beat four teams for first place. The semi-finals will be held at Martin Luther King High School in Riverside April 23, starting at 8 a.m.
