The Trojan marching band and color guard performed in the California State Band semi-finals competition last weekend and came in fifth place in their division. That’s good enough to send them to the finals at Westminster High School on Saturday. The band and color guard have a tradition of performing the day before the championships, and this year is no exception. The performance begins at 7 p.m. in Trojan Stadium at Yucca Valley High School, and the band will be performing original music in a show it calls Heartbeat. The performance is free and the public is encouraged to come and show their support.
