YUCCA VALLEY BEATS TWENTYNINE PALMS IN HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL

The Yucca Valley High School Trojan softball team won Wednesday’s home conference game against rival cross-basin school, Twentynine Palms High School, by a score of 10-0. Haley Smith was the winning pitcher who pitched five innings with no runs, four hits, and no walks. She struck out Aliyaah Tenorio to end the game. Maddy Smith drove in four runs, was 2-for-3 at the plate, with two doubles: one in the second inning, and one in the fifth. Katie Steffins was the losing pitcher. She pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowed 10 runs, and 10 hits.
