YUCCA VALLEY BEATS TWENTYNINE PALMS IN BOYS’ TENNIS

The Twentynine Palms High School boys’ varsity tennis team traveled to Yucca Valley on Monday to face the Trojans. It was a very tough battle with both teams taking nine sets a piece. The games were counted and Yucca Valley came out on top, 90 to 76.

In singles action, the Wildcats were led by Brett Hope and Ben Pressnall, who both won two of their sets, while Johnathan Simmons won one of his sets. In doubles action, the Wildcats were led by the teams of Dylan Smith/Donald Albers and Sean Sears/Mac Miller, who both won two of their sets. The Wildcats are now 6-and-3 and are currently in second place in the DeAnza League. The Wildcats host Desert Hot Springs on Wednesday to conclude their regular season play.
