YUCCA VALLEY BANK EVACUATED FOLLOWING BOMB THREAT

Two weeks after an upset customer threatened to rob US Bank in Yucca Valley, another angry customer shut down Chase Bank after he threatened to blow up the bank. According to a Sheriff’s report, a customer called the bank about a case concerning his money. The man, who gave his name as Steven Castillo, became upset when he was told the employee who was helping him was on vacation. The report states Castillo said he was “in a field,” was “starving,” and was “going to drop a bomb” on the bank. Per protocol, the bank manager evacuated the bank, and Sheriff’s deputies searched the bank and a nearby field for about 30 minutes. Neither a bomb nor a suspect were found during the search, and no arrests have been made as of Friday morning.
