The County Coroner has released the name of a Wonder Valley man found dead next to his off-road vehicle Friday evening. Sheriff’s deputies were notified Friday morning that Michael Casseaux, 50, was not returning phone calls and responded to his residence in the 7000 block of Oleander at about noon Friday. Shortly after 7 p.m., deputies located Casseaux lying next to his red quad in the open desert about 200 yards east of the 84000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway with visible traumatic injuries. Michael Casseaux was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:47 p.m. by responding paramedics.
