WOMAN FOUND WALKING ON THE HIGHWAY IN MORONGO VALLEY HELD ON WARRANTS

A Fontana transient who was walking into traffic on Highway 62 in Morongo Valley was arrested Tuesday morning when deputies discovered she had three arrest warrants totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. According to a Sheriff’s report, witnesses reported a woman, later identified as Michelle Cardenas, 31, was walking into traffic near the shooting range on the Yucca Grade about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. The deputy determined Cardenas had two arrest warrants for trespassing, and one warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia, with each warrant $160,000. Cardenas was booked at West Valley Detention Center and is being held on $480,000 bail.
