LITTLE MASCOT DANCE TEAM
This is a team from StarStruck Dance Studio. The Mascot dance team consists of four little girls ranging in age from 6 – 8 years old. The girls perform to bring attention to the studio and let people know they would like to see more parents bring their children to tryouts this summer. Being on a competitive dance team, no matter what age, teaches the girls and boys about team work, commitment, dedication and helps build confidence. This team puts in 9 months a year of hard work and would like to show their community what they can do.

MOJAVE RHYTHM
Mojave Rhythm is a duo of musicians from the Joshua Tree area of California. Steve Lester (aka: JT Easy) is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. Bobby Furgo is a violinist and keyboardist. Both of them also play in the Shadow Mountain Band. Bobby has played and toured with Leonard Cohen, Nancy Sinatra, Lee Hazelwood, Eric Burdon & and The Animals, Freddy Fender, Hank Thompson, Wanda Jackson, Love and Rockets, Pat Boone etc. Cool gigs at Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Jay Leno Tonight Show, Austin City Limits, Canadian Juno Awards…Steve left the road in the mid-80s to raise a family in Joshua Tree, and focus on music production. Before that time he was a founding member of the ‘Boys Next Door’. He has toured with many groups and done shows with Chuck Berry, Bobby Goldsboro, Tommy James, The Hollies, The Beach Boys, Herman’s Hermits, and members of Little Feat.

WHISKEY BLUES BAND
In of October 2013 three musicians from other local bands came together to form “The Whiskey Blues Band”. Claude Markham (Drummer) Mike Gilmore (Guitarist & Piano) and (Band Manager, Bassist & vocalist) Donny Nelson formed the band. As the band started their journey putting in long hours rehearsing and looking to perform different venue on the local music scene the band leader came across and old friends and they joined the band Robert Van Hees (Lead Guitarist & vocalists) & John Burdick (Guitarist)and guest singer Troy Michaels. Home and Craft Show: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Boys and Girls Club. Local vendors and crafters will have their booths on display!

Youth Commission Fun Zone: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Featuring a giant inflatable obstacle course and interactive community survey. Kids and teens give their opinions about the community through sticker voting, then race with friends on the huge obstacle course.

Horseshoe Tournament: 11:00 am to 11:30 am at the Brehm Youth Sports Park, presented by the Town of Yucca Valley. Awards will be given for first and second place teams in this double-elimination team horseshoe competition! Registration is $15, space is limited! Grubstake Beard Contest: 12:30 at the Brehm Youth Sports Park. Does your beard make you look like a celebrity? Take part in this year’s beard contest and see if the audience agrees! Winners receive a custom, hand-carved trophy courtesy of the Morongo Basin Woodcarvers.

Kids Games: 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Brehm Youth Sports Park. Kids can participate in contests like the donut-eating contest, duck pond contest, and goldfish dish toss!

Petting Zoo: 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the T-Ball field at Tri-Valley Little League. Bring the kids to check out goats, llamas, lambs, pot-belly piglets, ducklings, rabbits, horses, ponies, and tortoises from Heaven’s Gate Animal Rescue!
