The Western Heritage Contest Winners are poised to benefit long after the rest of us have recovered from this weekend’s Grubstake Days celebration. In the large business category, Kelly’s Future in the Yucca Valley Food-4-Less shopping center takes first place for their allegiance to the Grubstake Days theme from the big waving Star Spangled Banners outside to American-made “Western Heritage” home furnishings front and center inside the sprawling showroom. For best small business interior, first place goes to Sheric Real Estate and Property Management on the highway at Acoma in Yucca Valley. A visit inside is like a trip to the old West, only its cleaner. And don’t be alarmed by the Sheriff, he’s one of the good guys. And finally, first place for the best small business exterior easily goes to Yucca Valley newcomer This-N-That Desert Treasures on the highway across from US Bank.
