WE CLARIFY DETAILS ON THE DISCOVERY OF A BODY IN FIRE RUBBLE

A clarification on a story we ran yesterday about a body found in the rubble of a Joshua Tree house fire. We reported a man who’s been missing since a November 23 fire at his residence in Joshua Tree is believed to have been found dead in his burned-out home. Workers cleaning up the fire debris at the home of David Frowery in the 63000 block of Sunny Sands reported they may have found a man’s remains in the burned out rubble from the November 23 fire. Sheriff’s officials yesterday said no positive identification has been made and while the body found in the rubble may be that of Frowery, a coroner’s investigation will determine positive identification. Neighbors reported several explosions in the fire at 63025 Sunny Sands Drive. No one has seen Frowery since the fire.
