VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO LEAD SCHOOL TOURS AT BIG MORONGO CANYON PRESERVE

The Big Morongo Canyon Preserve will host training classes for volunteers interested in leading elementary school tours of the preserve. With his hiking boots on and sun screen in hand, here’s reporter Andrew Dieleman…
The series of three training classes will teach volunteers how to lead elementary school tours of the Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, assisting the Director of Education with school groups as they hike the preserve’s trails, and with hands-on activities following the programs. The 2-hour training sessions will be held at the preserve on Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. beginning on January 19. Adults must be able to pass a background check.
